Rosie Owen
ECVS and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Equine Surgery
Rosie joined the practice in February 2012, having completed a 3-year residency programme in Equine Surgery at the University of Liverpool. Rosie has a wealth of experience in lameness diagnosis, advanced imaging including MRI and equine surgery. Rosie can often be found investigating and treating challenging back pain problems in the horse, as one of her main regions of interest.
Rosie is a keen horse rider in her spare time and owns two horses and a springer spaniel (and a shetland named Alan!). She has a young daughter called Millie (Alan’s owner), who also likes to keep her busy! Rosie travels 43 miles each way daily to work at Oakhill, as ‘she has never worked in such a dedicated and talented equine veterinary team’, apparently the journey is worth it!
