Microchipping

Microchipping your pet is by far the best way of identification for your pet as it is permanent – collars with tags can come off or be removed.

Microchipping your pet is by far the best way of identification for your pet as it is permanent – collars with tags can come off or be removed.

On 6th April 2016 it will become a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped and registered on the national database. Owners are required to keep their contact details up to date and register the details of the new owner if the dog is sold or given away.

Most pets can be microchipped (cats, dogs, rabbits and even exotic pets).
Microchips are the size of a grain of rice and are implanted by a vet or nurse quickly and simply, using a needle.
