Yard/Nursing Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Yard/Nursing Assistant to join the team at our equine clinic in Preston, Lancashire. You will need to be motivated, proactive and work well within a team.
The role
You will be required to carry out all aspects of yard duties and maintenance and will be confident in handling horses.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- maintain a stable yard to a high standard, with previous experience desirable but not required
- handle, trot up and lunge a wide variety of horses, from young stock to stallions
- communicate confidently and effectively
- be flexible and able to work overtime where required
Working pattern and remuneration
The job role is full time: 8 hour days, 40 hour working week with overtime, to include weekend and bank holiday work on a rota basis. Pay starting at minimum wage and will be assessed on a 6 monthly basis.
