Equine Ambulatory Vet **POSITION NOW CLOSED**

We are seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant addition to our established 15-vet equine team. Based out of our busy equine clinic you will be on the road looking after our client base across Lancashire.

**POSITION NOW CLOSED**

Oakhill is a completely independent veterinary practice, and we fully intend to stay this way, offering exciting future opportunities for the right person.

The position would suit someone looking for an ambulatory veterinary surgeon role, ideally with some experience in this field. All our ambulatory vets have access to mobile equipment including digital radiography, ultrasonography (reproductive and musculoskeletal), dental floats and gastroscope, to provide the highest standard of service to our clients.

Our vets also have access to a state-of-the-art, fully equipped clinic including DR, advanced US scanner, cordless dental float, dental scope, shockwave, laser, in-house Lab, ultrasound, gastroscope, modern surgical suite and MRI, making it an excellent base from which to work for any ambitious candidate.

We pride ourselves on providing an environment in which our vets can thrive, both from a career development and personal perspective. All our vets have a full day off every other week, and we have plenty of vets to share the OOH rota on a one in 6 basis. No vet is ever on call alone – they will always have support available. We aim to provide wellbeing support to our vets throughout the year, with sociable walks, yoga and even nutrition classes to help keep up our energy levels!

The team

We have two ECVS diploma holders ready to offer support and guidance to the team where necessary with challenging cases. Our team has 9 RCVS certificates between them, and we are happy to support any candidate in the quest for further educational qualifications.

Benefits:

  1. CPD paid incl. certificates if desired.
  2. RCVS/VDS/BEVA memberships paid.
  3. Generous staff discount.
  4. Staff support package.
  5. Vehicle provided, phone & mobile web-based PMS.
  6. Very pleasant area to work, within easy reach of some stunning countryside, with beaches on our doorstep and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales less than an hour away.

We usually encourage applicants to come to our base in Goosnargh to get a feel for our team vibe, which is unlike any other around! We can’t wait to greet a new addition to our team, so please do get in touch.
