We are looking for a receptionist to work alongside the head equine receptionist as part of a team of five looking after 14 vets and their clients for prompt and efficient 5-star customer service.

Receptionist – Equine Team

Oakhill Veterinary Centre are looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to join our equine team. Our reception teams are the first and often last point of contact that our patients and clients have – fulfilling a vital role in the success of our equine team ensuring an exceptional customer journey.

We are looking for a receptionist to work alongside the head equine receptionist as part of a team of five looking after 14 vets and their clients, delivering a prompt and efficient 5-star customer service.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage the diary efficiently to maximise daily output.
  • Accurate maintenance of all associated documentation.
  • Deliver an effective and professional customer service to all our clients.
  • Approach and speak to clients with a professional manner.
  • Dispensing of veterinary medicines as prescribed by our vets.
  • Promotion of the service offered by Oakhill Veterinary Centre.

The person we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a receptionist position or similar role. Experience within a veterinary business would be an advantage.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office with typing skills and administrative knowledge with an eye for detail is essential.
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of customer service and complete all tasks to a high standard.
  • An excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
  • Effective time management and skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ideally has some basic horse knowledge and a friendly, positive, proactive and committed attitude.

Working hours:

  • Weds, Thurs & Fri 8am-6.30pm and alternate Sat 8.30am-1pm.
