Are you confident, organised, and not afraid to chase up payments? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Part-Time Credit Controller to join our accounts team within our established veterinary practice.

Part-Time Credit Controller

📍 Location: Oakhill Veterinary Centre, Langley Lane, Goosnargh, PR3 2JQ
🕒 Part-time: 4 days per week, approx. 4–5 hours per day (flexible hours to suit)

Are you confident, organised, and not afraid to chase up payments? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Part-Time Credit Controller to join our accounts team within our established veterinary practice.

We are seeking a professional individual with a strong administrative background and excellent communication skills, capable of managing sensitive financial interactions with confidence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking payments from clients (card transactions).
  • Responding to client queries and working with vets to recertify accounts where needed.
  • Contacting clients with outstanding balances and arranging payment.
  • Accurately entering and reconciling payments in the Practice Management System (PMS).
  • Undertaking general office administration duties (filing, emails, post, etc.).
  • Ad-hoc admin tasks including processing purchase invoices and working with spreadsheets as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in credit control or general accounts administration is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, with the confidence to manage challenging conversations or high-pressure situations professionally.
  • Good phone skills even in challenging situations.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, resilience and tenacity.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Approachable, team-oriented, and happy to ‘muck in’ to get the job done.
