Part-Time Credit Controller
📍 Location: Oakhill Veterinary Centre, Langley Lane, Goosnargh, PR3 2JQ
🕒 Part-time: 4 days per week, approx. 4–5 hours per day (flexible hours to suit)
Are you confident, organised, and not afraid to chase up payments? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Part-Time Credit Controller to join our accounts team within our established veterinary practice.
We are seeking a professional individual with a strong administrative background and excellent communication skills, capable of managing sensitive financial interactions with confidence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking payments from clients (card transactions).
- Responding to client queries and working with vets to recertify accounts where needed.
- Contacting clients with outstanding balances and arranging payment.
- Accurately entering and reconciling payments in the Practice Management System (PMS).
- Undertaking general office administration duties (filing, emails, post, etc.).
- Ad-hoc admin tasks including processing purchase invoices and working with spreadsheets as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior experience in credit control or general accounts administration is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, with the confidence to manage challenging conversations or high-pressure situations professionally.
- Good phone skills even in challenging situations.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, resilience and tenacity.
- Able to work independently.
- Approachable, team-oriented, and happy to ‘muck in’ to get the job done.
