Natalie's Bio

I'm Natalie, one of the RVNs (Registered Veterinary Nurses) here at Oakhill; you've probably seen me around. I have worked for Oakhill since 2013 although it really does feel like yesterday when I started as the team, clients and pets make it so enjoyable.

What made you want to be a RVN?
I have wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember, having always loved spending time with them and having pets of my own. I love sending sick pets home healthy to their families with lots of cuddles beforehand of course, and knowing that I have been part of helping them recover and get better again.

Do you have pets of your own?
I sure do yes. Rupert, who is around 10, and Violet, who is around 2 both rescue cats. They are amazing and I love spending time with them, they are fantastic for physical and mental health along with being lovely friends to share my life with.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to work at a vets?
The main advice I would give is to always treat the patients with as much care as you would treat your own pet. All the pets we see are gorgeous and we take pride in providing a high level of care to them all.

If you could be an animal for the day, what would it be and why?
A cat because im a little bit of a crazy cat lady and my two are very spoilt!
