EQUINE REPRODUCTION SERVICES

We offer all reproductive services from pre-breeding disease screening to comprehensive artificial insemination (AI) packages.

Scanning
A reproductive tract ultrasound scan helps to determine soundness for breeding, guides timing of mating/AI and identification of pregnancy including identification of twin pregnancies.

Artificial Incemination packages.

Fresh, chilled or frozen semen AI package:

Breeding soundness examination
All ultrasound scans pre-insemination (these are more frequent than for chilled semen)
Storage of frozen semen (if doing frozen AI package)
Insemination
Semen quality evaluation under the microscope
Drugs to encourage ovulation if required
Post-insemination wash-out (intra-uterine lavage)
Pregnancy scans (up to 3)
Twin pregnancy management
Caslick’s operation if required
