Changes to our out of hours services for small animals

In order to improve the quality of our service to you, we are making some changes to our out of hours services for small animals.

From 25th January 2010, we will be working with 'Vets Now'. The 'Vets Now' service will provide the equivalent of A&E for your pet. The emergency clinic will be run from the Vets4Pets surgery on the A6 next to Wickes in Preston. 'Vets Now' provide a dedicated night and out of hours emergency service, with their staff always present on the premises overnight.

As a result of these changes, we are extending our own opening hours and consultation times at all of our small animal surgeries, which will provide you with more choice and convenience for an appointment.

To contact the 'Vets Now' out of hours service just call the normal surgery number where a message will be taken and passed on to the 'Vets Now' team who will call you back.

The 'Vets Now' vets and nurses are there to give you advice over the phone and indicate whether they think it is safe for your pet to wait until morning to be seen by your usual vet. However, if your pet does need to be seen straight away, then they will arrange an immediate appointment at the 'Vets Now' Emergency Surgery.

Any treatment given by 'Vets Now' will be notified to us first thing the following morning and if your pet is hospitalized, you can transfer it back to us for ongoing treatment.

'Vets Now' will require payment at the time of treatment.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
