The Nurses
The nursing team is crucial to the success of the practice. The nurses work mainly at the practice, but often assist the vets out on calls.
Hannah Walkden
Veterinary Nurse
Before joining Oakhill in 2008, Hannah studied nutrition at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has worked on hunt yards and is an experienced rider
In her spare time Hannah likes riding her horse Carrie and is currently competing at novice level British Eventing.
Sarah Brookes
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Sarah joined the practice in December 2009 and lives in Standish with her family and two dogs.
Sarah is an experienced rider and in her spare time likes competing in British dressage.
Rebecca Helme
Nursing Assistant
Rebecca has worked at the practice since the mid 90’s. She is a very experienced rider and is also a qualified riding instructor. Rebecca and her sister, Donna also run their own successful livery yard business near Lancaster.
Donna Kenyon
Nursing Assistant
Donna has worked at the practice since the late 90’s, and is a very experienced rider. Although Donna has retired from competition riding, she has competed for Great Britain at the World Equestrian Games.
Chloe Cheetham
Nursing Assistant
Chloe joined the practice in 2003 after spending 8 years working as a veterinary nurse in a practice in East Lancashire. Chloe is an experienced showjumper and dressage rider, and competes in many regional events.
